Welcome to
Hi, I’m Valerie McVeigh, for over 30 years I had the great privilege of working for some of the top charities in Northern Ireland in a fundraising capacity but in 2018 after my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer, my career path took an unlikely turn.
I have always been an advocate of complementary therapies, Kinesiology helped me manage digestive issues and sciatica and reflexology sessions helped improve my sleep and reduce my stress levels but it wasn’t until I had this intense period in my life that I truly appreciated the power of holistic/complementary therapies. Looking back I now realise having regular sessions helped me cope with life, I was managing a demanding full time job, a busy family life and a partner with a cancer diagnosis.
My interest in natural health was well and truly sparked & I wanted to find out more. I began training in reflexology with The Shiela Nugent School of reflexology. The following year I completed my diploma in reflexology, baby and toddler reflexology, foot reading and advanced reflexology.
My journey began in a log cabin in my back garden, then I progressed to a room in Chrissie Graham Beauty and Skincare and now I have a really special place at 3 Killinchy Street, Comber, BT23 5AP – Click the link below to have a virtual look around my clinic.
Systematic Kinesiology is a holistic therapy that uses the body’s natural energetical biofeedback system to determine imbalances in the systems and organs.
Whilst the client may experience a physical pain there may also be an emotional aspect to their discomfort. A kinesiologist uses Bach remedies to help bring the emotions in to balance and uses Kinesiology techniques such as ESR (emotional stress release) to help release the energy blocks.
Each muscle has corresponding neuro-lymphatic points on the body and neuro-vascular points on the head. When the neuro-lymphatic points are rubbed this helps to clean the muscle.
We all have invisible energy lines (Meridians) running through our body. These energy pathways interconnect all parts of the body at an emotional, physical and spiritual level.
"I have loved the challenge of learning and am grateful that both the reflexology and Kinesiology techniques I have learned along the way have had such a profound positive effect on my clients’ well-being."
The next step on my natural health journey was to develop my knowledge of Systematic Kinesiology, this therapy has always fascinated me, how on earth could moving muscles, arms and legs make you feel better?
Of course, there is more to it than that. I was fortunate to find an incredible Kinesiology family with TASK Ireland (The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology) and began my foundation in Systematic Kinesiology (Balanced Health) in 2020. I went on to qualify with a Diploma in Advanced Systematic Kinesiology and was a Balanced Health Course Leader for a few years.
I have loved the challenge of learning and am grateful that both the Reflexology and Kinesiology techniques I have learned along the way have had such a profound positive effect on my clients’ well-being.
